ONE of the hottest new young talents on the progressive-folk scene will be the guest at Bromsgrove Folk Club on Thursday, May 30.
Kate Spencer boasts striking vocals and deft song-writing skills along with a complex guitar style.
The 22-year-old already has an extremely respected profile on the national acoustic music scene, receiving praise from the likes of Ralph McTell and Ian Hunter of Mott The Hoople.
She has shared the stage with World class musicians such as Ted McKenna and Foss Paterson and was part of this year’s Celtic Connections celebrations alongside Paul Weller and Eddi Reader at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.
And she was awarded with the Yorkshire Gig Guide Outstanding Emerging Artist title in 2018, continuing to receive glowing reviews of both her live performances and recorded pieces.
The music starts at Catshill Social Club at 8pm and Kate will be supported by resident band Fairfield.
