A MAJOR blaze broke out inside a caravan in Blackwell on Thursday, January 14.

Four fire crews – two from Bromsgrove and two from Redditch – were called to the scene at around 4pm.

The home – approximately 10m by 10m – was engulfed by the fire which also spread to a nearby overhead power cable.

Firefighters using jets were able to eventually bring the fire under control.

Neighbouring properties were advised to keep doors and windows shut.

A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Western Power Distribution were also called to attend, as was the ambulance service, although there were no casualties.

“An inspection took place later using a thermal imaging camera before the incident was closed.”
