BROMSGROVE Labour councillors are urging residents to take part in a County Council review on the future of bus subsidies in Worcestershire.
The cross party task group is investigating whether the current bus networks meet the needs of local residents using the services and whether the county’s subsidies are being used effectively to ensure a reliable service.
Coun Chris Bloore (Lab, Sidemoor) said: “I know how important a reliable bus service is to my local residents in helping them get to work, school or get to medical appointments.
“It’s imperative to our economic future that we have a robust bus network and we can’t let Bromsgrove fall further behind.
“A public transport network is also the only way we can try to tackle the appalling air quality situation in Bromsgrove.”
Residents can take part in the review by emailing [email protected] before November 7.
Coun Michael Thompson (Lab, Rock Hill), added: “I’d urge residents to get in touch and help build a case for an improved bus network.”
