CHARITIES are being urged to get in touch with the organisers of Bromsgrove Carnival who are looking for good causes to raise funds for at next year’s event.

The committee is also interested in hearing from businesses or other organisations wanting to be involved in the 2020 carnival whether they can offer sponsorship or help with the organisation.

The event is run entirely by volunteers, is not for profit and has been providing the people of Bromsgrove with free entertainment for more than a century.

Adam Lote, Bromsgrove Carnival Chairman said the committee was looking for three new charity partners to work with for next year.

“Each of our charity partners received £2,150 in 2019 from carnival and Timberhonger 10K, which we are proud to collaborate with.

“We want to make 2020 bigger and better, that is why we are also looking for businesses to sponsor the event, to increase the money that we raise for our charities, and there are three sponsorship packages available.”

He thanked the council for its support of the event and for enabling the committee to use Sanders Park and urged representatives from good causes who wanted their organisation to be a charity partner to email [email protected] for call Katie on 07932 070219 for an application form.

The deadline for entries is November 29.
