Bromsgrove care home trio brave the shave for Basement Project, Blue Cross and residents' fund

MORE than £500 has been raised for local good causes by three employees at a Bromsgrove care home who braved the shave on Wednesday.

Nicola Burton, Shelley Tapper and Gail Bessant who work at Chandler Court decided to lose their locks after chatting about not being able to get a hair cut during the lockdown.

They set themselves a fund-raising total of £1,000 and are already up to £780 for the three causes – the Basement Project, the Blue Cross and the care home’s residents’ fund.

They chose the causes because one of the staff members has been helped by the Basement Project, some of them had adopted pets from the Blue Cross and they felt the residents deserved a treat following the lockdown.
