Bromsgrove businesses affected by Covid-19 urged to apply for GBSLEP grants

Bromsgrove Editorial 16th Dec, 2020   0

BUSINESSES across Bromsgrove which have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are being invited to apply for new small grants being rolled out by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

The Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) Restart Grants – of between £1,000 and £3,000 – have come through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Companies will be able to use them to purchase professional services-based support and small equipment or other capital expenditure items to enable them to adapt their businesses.

As well as the awards, the GBSLEP Growth Hub is also available to support firms with free impartial business advice and to refer them to specialist help through its partner organisations.

The applications must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, December 18.

Businesses are urged to apply as soon as possible at:

To be eligible firms must not have applied for round 1 of the GBSLEP Restart Grant or have applied to another LEP or growth hub for this grant.

They must employ between three and 25 people (or full-time equivalent), be registered with Companies House, have been trading for 12 months and still be a going concern and be in the GBSLEP area – which includes Bromsgrove and Birmingham.

They should also be applying for projects or expenditure that has not been started yet and it must be paid for by February 28, 2021.
