A BOY has been taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital after being hit by a car outside Shenley Academy this afternoon.
The incident happened just after 3pm on Shenley Lane.
It is believed the car was overtaking a stationary bus when the collision occurred.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a care team with a doctor on board.
The boy was checked at the scene before being taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital as a precautionary measure.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
The motorist was shaken by the incident.
