BARNT Green Road will be shut from tomorrow (Monday) for five days.
The closure will take place while essential maintenance is carried out on a water pipe.
Drivers are being urged to find alternative routes although the footpath will remain open.
Coun Peter McDonald said he and residents were relieved the work was finally being carried out.
“There has been flooding in the area for the past six months because of a broken drain.
“It has taken a ridiculous amount of time to get the repairs organised and the workers put in place.”
