CHILDREN and staff at Sandhills in Barnt Green helped raise almost £1,000 for Children In Need after coming to nursery dressed in bright coloured clothing.

The youngsters also took part in a creative colouring competition and party.

The local nursery in Barnt Green is part of The Old Station Nursery Group which raised £986.50.

Sandhills Day Nursery manager Theresa Wright said: “Children in need is important to us because we see how much our children thrive at our setting and we want all children to have the same opportunities.”

She added the charity helped children in lots of different ways and it was important to highlight and celebrate events.
