Artrix closes its doors until further notice over COVID-19

ARTRIX has closed it’s doors following advice from Prime Minister Boris Johnson over the coronavirus outbreak.

Yesterday, Mr Johnson advised all pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, theatres and cinemas to close until further notice to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

He added now is the time to avoid non-essential social contact.

Artrix will be rescheduling events ‘wherever possible’ and transfer tickets that have already been booked to the new dates.

If you can no longer make it, or are unable to reschedule, refunds will be issued.

Although the theatre is asking visitors to consider donating some or all of the ticket cost to Artrix rather than asking for a refund.

A theatre spokesperson said: “We are a small charity with very few staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding and please bear with Box Office staff at this very busy time.

“The decision has been made with the best interests of our audiences, visitors and staff in mind, and while we sincerely regret any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause, our responsibility to protect everyone’s good health must come first.

”We would like to reassure our visitors and audiences that there have been no cases of coronavirus linked to Artrix and that closure and cancellations are precautionary measures.”
