Appeal launched to find foster carers in Bromsgrove and Droitwich with 890 new host families needed

AN APPEAL has been launched to find foster carers in Bromsgrove and Droitwich with 890 new host families needed across the West Midlands in the next 12 months.

ISP, which provided homes to more than 150 children last year, is hosting a roadshow in Bromsgrove on July 8 where people can drop in and have informal chats with the team on the prospects of a caring career.

ISP’s registered manager Jane Partridge said the roadshow’s aim was to try and give people a better understanding of what foster caring involved and to dispel the myths behind being a carer such as it being unavailable to single people.

Paula, an ISP foster carer, said becoming a carer was the best decision she had made in a long time, describing the experience as ‘invaluable and emotional’.

The roadshow will take place at the Bellway House, 7 Worcester Road from 11am to 1pm.
