THE ANNUAL appeal for new toys for children in South West Birmingham who may not be getting much this Christmas has been officially launched.

There is usually a fantastic response to the drive and the organisers are hoping that will be the case again.

It has been organised by Andy Cartwright, Gemma Cartwright MBE and Pride of Longbridge, Sainsbury’s Longbridge, butcher Tony Geraghty, Paul Rigby MG and Frankley Forum.

Last year’s appeal was a great success. Picture taken pre-lockdown and before social distancing. s

Gifts will be distributed to local children and families referred by agencies and community groups.

Andy said: “Every year we are thrilled by the generosity of the local community who gift wonderful new toys.

“Bringing businesses and communities together is something I am extremely proud of the positive impact we make together is amazing.

“We will be grateful for any new toys people can donate.”

Toys can be donated at Sainsbury’s Longbridge.
