Anyone for Walking Tennis? Introductory sessions to start in Bromsgrove

Bromsgrove Editorial 25th Sep, 2020   0

ANYONE for Walking Tennis?

That’s the question being asked ahead of new introductory sessions to the slower version of sport which start on Thursday, October 1, at Bromsgrove Tennis Club.

Participants can get the four weekly sessions – each Thursday from midday to 1pm – for £24 including the free use of a racket.

Bromsgrove Tennis Club’s head coach James Griffiths said: “Just like tennis it is fun, social and really good exercise, but Walking Tennis is a lot less hard on the player.”

He added it was suitable for all ages and abilities and no previous tennis experience was needed.

Players just need non-marking sports shoes and comfortable clothing.

All coaches strictly observe the Government’s social distancing and Lawn Tennis Association’s interaction guidelines.

Pre-registration for the Walking Tennis course is essential in order to comply with current regulations.
