THE annual Primrose Hospice summer fete is on Saturday, June 22 – and a fun-filled afternoon is promised.
The event will be officially opened at noon by VIP guest Joanne Malin, from Midlands Today and a supporter of Primrose Hospice.
Everyone is invited to come along from midday to take a look around, wander through the hospice’s beautiful gardens and of take part in the festivities.
There will also be the opportunity to relax and unwind in complementary therapy taster sessions, enjoy traditional Tardebigge cider, Banner’s pork baps or imbibe at the hospice’s own Primrose Pimms and Prosecco Bar.
There will also be numerous craft stalls in the marquee, raffles, tombolas and children’s activities including a bouncy castle, traditional games and face painting.
Entertainment will include appearances from the Primrose Choir, Rock Choir, singer Meg Scare and the Bromsgrove Rock School.
Visitors will also have the chance to learn more about the care and support Primrose provides to the local community through talks by its nurses and family support team.
In addition, , everyone is invited to take a few moments to remember their loved ones with Keith, the hospice’s chaplain during the afternoon.
Emma Williams from the hospice said: “The summer fete is always a huge success for us.
“We welcome local residents along to the hospice and everyone always has a great time!
“There is so much more to Primrose than meets the eye and we want to give the local community the chance to come and have a look around and support their local hospice.”
The fete is at the hospice’s base in St Godwalds Road, Bromsgrove.
Primrose Hospice is an independent charity, offering free care, advice and support to patients living with life limiting illnesses and their families, living in the Redditch and Bromsgrove areas.
It currently costs over £1.75 million per year to run all the hospice services, with just 14.6 per cent of our funding coming from Redditch and Bromsgrove CCG.
