THE ABBA Reunion show at Bromsgrove’s Artrix was brought to an abrupt end after the lead singer collapsed on  stage.

Vikki Holland-Bowyer who plays Frida in the show was taken ill during Dancing Queen.

Audience members Esther Graham and

Gemma Wood rushed onto the stage to come to her aid.

She was taken to hospital and, after being checked over, it was found she had been suffering with a virus and that, combined with the heat, had taken all her energy.

She was sent home and told to get some bed rest and will make a full recovery.

The band, posting on their Facebook page, said-  apart from feeling slightly embarrassed she wanted to personally thank everyone for their well wishes.

“Can we also please say a special thank you to the first aiders who jumped from the audience to help,” the statement added.

The band told people to feel free to send any pics or videos from the night, adding they would be returning see in 2020.

“Thank you all once again for understanding and supporting The ABBA Reunion tribute show!”
