MORE than 150 aeromodelling enthusiasts are expected to descend on the Trinity Centre in Lickey on Sunday, January 19, for the latest SwapMeet.

The latest event to be held by the South Birmingham Model Flying Club will feature a range of model aeroplanes, engines, components and other related items.

Among them will be rare and much sought-after gliders, radio control and control line models, rare aviation and model flying books, kits and memorabilia.

The SwapMeet, which also boasts cars and boats, runs from 10.30am to 2pm with stallholders being given access to the venue from 9.30am.

Tables for vendors are £5 and admission is £2.

Tony Field, secretary of South Birmingham Model Flying Club, said: “This will be our fifth Swapmeet and we’re looking forward to welcoming an even bigger number of aeromodelling enthusiasts than we had at last year’s event.

“Following the success of last years’ edition, we’re also keen to welcome model boat and car enthusiasts.”
