FOUR gifted South Bromsgrove High School students will be starting courses at Oxford and Cambridge Universities in September following outstanding A-level results.

Eleanor Caney, Jake Longley and Alex Ichert will study Biology, Maths and Chemistry respectively at the University of Oxford.

Georgina Scott will read Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge.

Sixth form director Nick Coates said: “We are incredibly proud that four of our students will be studying at the most prestigious universities in the country.

“These places are well deserved by such hardworking and dedicated students.”

A-level results across South Bromsgrove were excellent, with the majority of students progressing to their first choice destination.

Headteacher Chris Smith said: “I am delighted that despite the challenging circumstances that our students have faced, our large cohort of leavers have been able to progress to higher education or apprenticeships, including many places at top 20 universities.

“We wish them continued success in the future.”
