A GROUP of 37 walkers took part in the annual new year parish walk around the Clent Hills.

The participants from Romsley, Hunnington and beyond met at St Kenelm’s Church in Romsley and were led on a 4.25mile stroll across the hills by Parish Paths Warden Stuart Smith.

He said: “Although the magnificent views from the top of the hills were foreshortened slightly by low cloud we all enjoyed an invigorating walk that gave an excellent opportunity to exercise both legs and tongues.”

He added although the walk on January 5 was mostly in the Clent parish there were also some 16 miles worth of paths to walk in Romsley and Hunnington and he would be guiding parishioners and friends over many of them during the forthcoming year.
