CANNABIS with a street value of more that £100,000 and a machete were seized when police forced a car to stop on the M5 earlier today.

It happened on the northbound carriageway between Junction 4 (Bromsgrove) and Junction 3 (Quinton).

Officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit began their pursuit with the target vehicle after receiving reports it had been used in a violent burglary an hour before.

Officers used a TPAC manoeuvre to bring the car to a stop and a search revealed the drugs, machete and several crowbar.

A TPAC is where police use their cars to pull in front of, alongside and behind a vehicle to block it in.

Two people were arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
