TRIBUTE act, Hats Off To Led Zeppelin, are celebrating 50 years of recorded Zeppelin at Bromsgrove’s Artrix on June 1.
The band is recognised as the only UK tribute act officially endorsed by Marshall amplifiers and a quirky coincidence is that their manager is Warren Grant, the son of former Led Zeppelin manager, Peter Grant.
There’s no doubting the bands’ pedigree having performed with Queen and Iron Maiden, as well as West End Hits, Jersey Boys and We Will Rock You.
In the late 60s, members of the original famous rock band grouped together in a small room in London’s Gerrard Street and just nine days later, released their first album.
Half a century later and the winners of ‘Best Tribute Band in the UK 2017’ are embarking on their biggest tour yet to celebrate the anniversary.
Dave Lewis, Led Zeppelin’s biographer, said: “A refreshing no nonsense approach, this band delivers every time.”
