SIXTIES pop band The Searchers, who are hanging up their instruments after 66 years performing all over the World, are heading to Redditch’s Palace Theatre on their Farewell Tour.

The group, famous for numerous hits including Sugar and Spice, Sweets for my Sweet, and Needles and Pins, will be coming to town on March 24, a week before they officially call it a day.

The group played to a packed house at Bromsgrove’s Artrix on Saturday which included an avid fan who had travelled especially from Australia to watch five of their final concerts.

Spencer James is planning to continue his career performing a number of solo concerts in 2019, including one at Huntington Hall, Worcester on April 23.

Tickets cost £24.50 and are available from the box office in person, on 01527 65203 or buy online at redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk.
