SINGER-SONGWRITER Kim Lowings will be appearing at the Bromsgrove Folk club on Thursday June 28 at 8pm, writes Shaun Bowden.
The local favourite and Fatea nominated performer will take to the stage with her backing band The Greenwood which features Andrew Lowings, Tim Rogers and Dave Sutherland.
Their punchy and authentic sound cleverly combines original songs with familiar traditional tales highlighting the continued relevance of the tradition today.
The club meets at Catshill Social Club, Meadow Road on the second and last Thursday of each month.
Tickets are £7 for members, £9 for non members and £3.50 for those under 25.
