Popular Barnstormers Comedy nights return for a new season at Bromsgrove's Artrix

Bromsgrove Editorial 17th Sep, 2018   0

THE POPULAR Barnstormers Comedy season begins at Bromsgrove’s Artrix at 8pm next Saturday, September 22.

Compering the evening will be Kevin Precious and taking to the stage will be Brummie Andy White, Stephen Bailey and Duncan Oakey.

Andy escaped from a call centre to become a stand up comic who mixes silly voices and faces with observational humour, topical humour and his mixed race background.

His material ranges from the clever, cheeky, sick and silly to deadpan loud and physical.

He has played to a variety of audiences, adults and children, both in the UK and abroad, including comedy clubs, theatres, universities, radio and TV shows.

Stephen Bailey was labelled as a ‘guilty pleasure’ by the Daily Record and has a friendly and open brand of gossipy humour whilst being ‘annoyingly sharp’.

He presents Channel 5 and 5Star’s new show Celebs on the Farm and is the resident agony aunt on Zoe Ball on Saturday/Sunday for ITV.

Stephen has also made guest appearances on numerous shows, including Comedy Central’s Live at the Comedy Store, Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and BBC One’s Sunday Morning Live.

Stephen has also supported Katherine Ryan and Jenny Eclair on their UK tours and hosted shows on Absolute Radio and Virgin Radio.

Duncan Oakley has an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand-up, making him one of the leading headliners in the business.

He has been on the UK and international stand up circuit for ten years and an easy confidence and good natured banter make him a regular at all the best venues.

The show is suitable for those aged 18 and over and tickets, which £14, are available from artrix.co.uk or by calling 01527 577330.
