Man in his 50s beaten up in Bromsgrove street robbery

A MAN in his 50s has been beaten up in a street robbery in Bromsgrove.

The victim was walking down an alleyway between Barley Mow Lane and Golden Cross Lane in Catshill around 2.25pm on Wednesday when another man approached him from behind.

The victim was attacked and forced to the floor, sustaining injuries to his head.

The robber then took a quantity of cash from the victim’s pocket before running off towards Barley Mow Lane.




He was white, 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build with blond/brown hair. He was also wearing a blue jacket.

PC Donna Hopkins said: “I would like to reassure the community that we take all reports of this nature extremely seriously.


“We are keen for anyone who saw the incident or was in the area between 2pm and 2.30pm to please come forward.

“Any information, no matter how small, could be significant to our investigation.”
