CINEMA-goers at Artrix got a glimpse of the real deal when they came along to see blockbuster biopic Rocketman on Friday, June 28.
The foyer came alive with the songs of Elton John thanks to tribute act ‘Forever Elton’ who sang and played the grand piano.
Members of the public were also treated to a slice of Hollywood and pop memorabilia when Sir Elton John’s custom made car from the Rocketman UK premiere arrived.
The personalised mini-Hummer, complete with spangly-star shaped Elton glasses, was driven by Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish at the Rocketman red carpet event.
The dazzling machine was made by Bridgnorth company Fairway Wheels, which had previously created vehicles for Sir Elton when he appeared in the movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle in 2017.
Guests were able to hop into the blue, glittery back seat for a photo opportunity to remember.
‘Forever Elton’, featuring all of the film’s greatest hits, comes to Artrix on Wednesday September 25 at 8pm.
The screening of Rocketman continues tonight from 7.30pm.
