Holding a conference at a cinema

When planning an event or conference there are many issues to consider. You aim to provide a memorable experience, and still communicate your message effectively and holding the attention of your audience. One of the most crucial elements to consider is the issue of choosing a venue. There are so many different venues for hire that it can be a complex decision to make, particularly if you're working to time constraints.

One venue that you might not have considered is hosting your next event in a cinema environment; a unique and exciting choice that is often overlooked in favour of the usual humdrum venues that people see every day. In actual fact a cinema could be ideally placed to offer all the functionality you require, in an immersive environment that's sure to captivate the attention of your audience.

Consider your presentation or video being shown on a huge screen in an environment that your audience usually considers to be recreational, it's sure to create a relaxed atmosphere and still hold their attention. Conferences in particular are often considered somewhat dull, dry and uninteresting, particularly when they're held within faceless and boring conference centres across the country. Using a cinema as your venue is sure to "shake it up" and encourage those attending to think outside of the box, as indeed the event organiser has.

Then there's the technology to consider, with a little forward planning it's possible to create a truly unique experience with the use of 3D, or high definition film during your event. Cinemas are often kitted out with a variety of audio and lighting set ups available for use, ideal if you want to plan your event down to the last detail, and offer a truly different and captivating experience.

When it comes to practicalities, a cinema will usually be fully equipped with catering, toilet facilities and often an on-site bar - ideal for relaxation time between speakers and/ or presentations. Generally speaking there will be the option to tailor refreshments to your individual needs as most cinemas have these facilities available on site, particularly if your event is to be held during the daytime quiet period. Plus there's generally parking immediately available and often excellent transport links too.

Showing your presentation on a huge screen, with comfortable seating and a totally immersive environment is the ideal way to encourage your audience to sit up and pay attention, as well as avoiding all those niggling issues to do with screen glare and poor quality audio systems available on the conference circuit. You're sure to find higher quality and a more innovative way of showcasing your information on a cinema screen!

So consider thinking outside the box and visiting your local cinema when planning your next event, it could be the ideal way to portray your message in a much more imaginative and interesting way than you've previously considered. Whilst still offering all the amenities an event or conference requires. Cinema: the truly modern venue for your next corporate event.
