AN INTRUDER was disturbed by a barking dog during a burglary in Bromsgrove.
The incident in Blacksmith Drive occurred about 2.20am last Friday (August 8) while the victim was asleep upstairs. His dog barked and when he looked out of the bedroom window he saw a man stood at his front door.
The victim ran after the man but lost sight of him. He then returned to his house to find that his car keys had been stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.
The offender was last seen heading in the direction of Bromsgrove Train Station. He is described as white, in his mid-twenties, around five foot nine inches in height, clean shaven with short dark hair. He was wearing a zipped black sports top and dark bottoms.
Police want anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch by calling 101, quoting incident number 0050S of Friday 8 August. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
