THIEVES have stolen a charity box which was collecting cash for Bromsgrove charity Libby Mae's Little Angels.
The incident happened about 3.55pm last Wednesday (July 30) at the Bromsgrove District Council Hub at the Dolphin Centre, School Drive.
The suspect was caught on CCTV putting the box. which contained bracelets and money, into a black rucksack.
Officers investigating the theft said enquiries were ongoing and urged anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Libby Mae’s Little Angels was started by Bromsgrove couple Charlotte and Richard Sharratt in memory of their daughter Libby Mae who was born at Birmingham Women’s Hospital on April 26, but passed away two weeks later.
Libby Mae had a rare condition whereby a vein between her left lung and her heart did not develop properly.
The charity raises funds to pay for equipment at neo-natal units across the Midlands.
Charlotte told The Standard: "As the founders of Libby Mae’s Little Angels and as Libby Mae’s mummy and daddy, we are saddened and disgusted with whoever has stolen the box.
"How can anyone stoop so low as to steal from a charity, let alone one that is helping save babies' lives following the devastating loss of our own baby.
"We’re just trying to help and this is really disheartening to think that someone can do such a thing.
"We hope the culprit is reading this and will give us back our box, bracelets and money - they can even do so anonymously via our BT Donate page or on our website www.libbymaeslittleangels.com
