A CHARITY night held in memory of Gina Kidd who lost her long battle with cancer has raised £2,900 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, at the Trinity Centre in Lickey on July 5, was organised by Gina’s friend Debbie Enfield and featured local entertainers - singer David King and Russ the Magician.
Gina told The Standard: “After seven years of fighting cancer, Georgina Kidd, who lived in Rednal, lost her fight.
“Macmillan played a huge part in her life over those years, which is why we wanted to raise as much as possible and decided to arranged a family night of entertainment.”
She thanked David King, Russ the Magician, her family and friends who helped organise the event, her patients and all the businesses in Bromsgrove, Rubery and South Birmingham which donated raffle prizes.
She added she hoped, by the end of the fund-raising, more than £3,000 will have been collected.
