MORE THAN £1,000 was raised for the Room for One More Staffie Rescue charity after a funday in Tardebigge.

The event, which took place at the PlayPark, Holyoakes Lane, was attended by more than 500 people.

Activities on offer included doggie dancing displays, an agility demonstration and a raffle.

Hev Bushnell, from event organiser Hev’s Happy Hounds, said: “It was a fantastic day and we had perfect weather.

“We’d like to thank everyone who volunteered to help, the stall holders, the class sponsors and of course everyone who attended.”

She added, due to the success of the day, plans were already underway for another similar event in the future.
