AS THE nation turns its attention from the World Cup to Wimbledon, the tennis courts in Bromsgrove's Sanders Park are due to open after a £33,000 revamp.
The improvements, which include new surfaces and nets, coincide with this year's tournament at SW19 where Andy Murray will be looking to defend his title.
The new-look courts will be available to players of all ages at the end of this week and there are a host of activities planned for the grand opening.
Coun Michael Webb, responsible for leisure, said the courts were in need of a revamp so he was delighted the district council was spending cash on the project.
