MORE than £2,500 worth of jewellery was stolen in a burglary which was carried out in Bromsgrove on Thursday (June 5).
At some point between 10am and 5pm, access was gained to the home in Avon Close via a small bathroom window which had been left open to let some air in.
The raider climbed onto the pitched roof of a small extension below the bathroom window and got in from there.
Among the haul taken was a yellow gold 14ct dress emerald and diamond dress ring worth £1,600 and a yellow gold and ring with a square shaped Australian opal surrounded by six small diamonds worth £600.
Also stolen was a 24ct yellow gold wedding ring with diagonal marks around the band, a yellow gold tennis diamond bracelet, and other miscellaneous items of jewellery. It is not known how much the wedding ring, bracelet and other items were worth.
Officers investigating the incident are hoping that - because the burglary took place during daylight hours - someone saw the thief at work.
Witnesses or anyone with any information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
