A MAN has been left with serious injuries after he was attacked in a Bromsgrove Chinese take-away by two men armed with weapons, including a wooden stick and nunchucks.

The incident, involving the 37-year-old victim, happened at the Oriental Royal in Birmingham Road, at about 11.30pm last Friday (May 16).

After the assault, the man was treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for injuries to his face and body.

Det Con Amy Kitosi-Isanga of North Worcestershire CID said: "This was a vicious attack which has left the victim with some extremely nasty injuries."

She added investigations were ongoing and said, as there were other people around and about at the time it happened, officers wanted anyone with any information to call North Worcestershire CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Witnesses can also log onto www.crimestoppers-uk.org - the Crimestoppers website - to convey information about the attack.

Two men, aged 34 and 36, were arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on police bail until July 11, pending further inquiries.
