TALENTED youngsters from Dodford First School showed off their artistic skills when they did their own self portraits in charcoal.

The year fours were helped by professional artist John Denaro who split the class into two and worked with the pupils on their pictures.

The finished creations will be displayed at the town's Artrix during the Bromsgrove Festival.

Headteacher Lisa Parkes said: "It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to work with a talented artist and they were so proud of what they achieved."
