BROMSGROVE Operatic Society is calling on Standard readers to be a prompt for its latest production.
The group will perform Gershwin’s musical Crazy For You at Bromsgrove’s Artrix from June 17 to 22.
The large cast is working hard to recreate one of the West End’s most popular musicals but needs someone to offer a helping hand when needed.
The society’s chairman Ian Cox said: “We’re looking for someone to fill a really important role within the company.
“The prompt will attend rehearsals and performances and be on hand to help our actors if they get stuck with their lines.
“You don’t need any previous experience, just the ability to follow a script and yell out the occasional prompt.”
The prompt would need to attend the remaining rehearsals on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings and all the performances of show, which features classic Gershwin songs including ‘Embraceable You’ and ‘I’ve Got Rhythm’.
Anyone interested in helping should call James Edwards on 07813 891710 or Ian Cox on 07810 865865.
Tickets for the show are available from Artrix’s website at www.artrix.co.uk or via the box office on 01527 577330.
