THERE was plenty of bank holiday fun at Avoncroft Museum over Easter with a special Alice in Wonderland- themed event.

Those who went along got to meet characters from the popular book, including Alice herself, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit and the March Hare.

There were also medieval re-enactors on-site, the chance to have a go at archery, pony and fairground rides, a vintage craft fayre and trips on the miniature steam railway, which is operated by the Bromsgrove Society of Model Engineers.

Chris Everall, Avoncroft’s head of business and marketing said the event went really well.

“It was busy all weekend, but particularly busy on Monday because of the good weather.

“Everyone seemed to have a really good time,” she added.
