A BROMSGROVE health and safety company extended its services to a dozen newly-hatched ducklings which fell down a drain whilst following their mum and dad to the pond.
It happened on Thursday morning (April 10) when the workers at Agility UK noticed a male and female duck looking distressed through the window of the premises on the Saxon Business Park.
When they went out, they found the mother duck circling the drain cover and looking down.
They then discovered 12 ducklings which had hatched overnight on Wednesday (April 9) in nearby bushes had followed their mum and one-by-one had fallen down the drain she'd crossed.
The company's business development manager Jon Hughes, said: "We managed after a while - using a lump hammer and crowbar - to get the drain cover open and picked out the ducklings one at a time, before transferring them into a box.
"With mum and dad duck following we walked the ducklings up to a local pond and reunited them with their parents.
"On this occasion we proved we are not just a health and safety company for humans, but also for our feathered friends as well."
