PETROL heads from Bromsgrove and Droitwich who fancy a challenge are being urged to get themselves a banger for less than £250 and take part in this year’s Monte Carlo or Bust Rally in June and July.

Participants on the three-day 1,000-mile trek from the towns to Monte Carlo, via France, Switzerland and Italy, will complete a variety of hilarious challenges for points and prizes and raise money for a charity of their choice in the process.

The event is inspired by the classic Paramount film and, as well as seeing spectacular backdrops of sun, sea, sand and snow, those taking part will be able to share their progress with people back home via live GPS tracking.

Rally spokesperson Cuthbert Ware-Armitage, said he was laying down the challenge to residents to join him on Europe’s ultimate banger rally adventure.

“This is a brilliant opportunity to get your team into gear and experience some of the greatest roads in Europe in some of worst cars from Bromsgrove and Droitwich.”
