ELECTRONIC items and a gold engagement ring, which was both expensive and sentimental, were stolen in a Bromsgrove burglary over the weekend.

Among the items taken was a £300 silver and white Apple iPad with a dark cover, a cream Apple iPod worth £50, car keys, a £500 black Fujitsu laptop in a computer bag, a Hewlett Packard laptop and a ladies' black handbag that contained an engagement ring which had belonged to a relative of the victim.

It is believed the burglar gained access to the home on Stoke Road through an unlocked side gate some time between 3pm on Friday (April 11) and 11.20am on Saturday (April 12) . They then climbed through a small back window which had been left open.

West Mercia Police have conducted house-to-house enquiries and have appealed to witnesses or anyone with any information to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
