A FORMER North Bromsgrove High School student has launched an international online fashion business.
Caroline Michael’s company My Bandage Dress went live simultaneously in the UK, Perth and Australia and she has already had orders from people in several European countries.
The 23-year-old who has worked for Reiss and Kurt Geiger has created a line of dresses, accessories and exclusive swimwear specifically for 18 to 30-year-olds.
So far she is off to a flying start with orders gradually flowing in and her already large group of followers on Twitter and Facebook has been steadily growing.
The new venture has already created two new jobs and Caroline is anticipating she will be able to recruit more people within the next few months.
Caroline said she was very excited and optimistic about the future.
She added one of the most satisfying aspects of the launch was the number of local small businesses which had been involved.
“Nearly all my suppliers are friends who I was at school with - for example Jessica Raphael did our photography and Zak Peplow designed the website so although we’re building an international business we always think local too.
“We have a unique, modern product at affordable prices and we’ll be always be looking for original new lines,” she said.
