A TEENAGER was assaulted and mugged in Sanders Park, Bromsgrove, on Friday night (April 4) whilst he was out with two of his friends.

The group was approached by three men, who they did not know, but began chatting to, and then when they started to walk off, the attackers struck by kicking one in the head before chasing him through the park.

The teenager jumped over the fence onto the Kidderminster Road, followed by the mugger who told him to hand over his rucksack or he would assault him.

The theives then escaped with the backpack, which contained the victim’s driver's licence, student ID card, work badge and keys.

It was later recovered in Millfields Road after the incident, which is believed to have taken place between 11pm on Friday and 12.15am on Saturday (April 5).

The three muggers where all white, in their mid-20s and were wearing dark coloured hooded tops and coats.

The main one was slim and around 6ft 2ins tall while the other who was a chubby man with a beer belly was about 5ft 7ins.

A third man, who did not take part in the robbery, was wearing a coat which was dark at the bottom and had red shoulders and a hood.
