YOUNGSTERS from Alphabets at Hollymoor Nursery in Northfield this week held a special lunch for all their mums, ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday (March 30).

The event was organised so the children could say a big thank you to their mums for all the hard work they did for them throughout the year.

As well as the lunch, the little ones made Mother’s Day cards, painted portraits of their mums, created poems about them and made cakes, which they were able to take home.

Nursery owner Karen Mawdsley said: “We had a great turn-out - everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was a really good day.”
