A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of class A drugs after he was stopped in Bromsgrove and was found to be carrying 23 wraps of what police believe to be crack cocaine and heroin.
The 21-year-old, from Birmingham, was stopped by police officers in Church Street last Wednesday (March 26).
As well as the class A drugs, the man had a large amount of cash on him, along with three mobile phones.
He was quizzed by officers before being released on police bail until May 6, pending the analysis of the substances seized and further inquiries.
Det Con Mike Morton of West Mercia Police said: “The clear message to drug pushers and users is that we will not tolerate illegal activity of this nature in our communities.
"Drugs bring misery to neighbourhoods, not least because those who become dependent on them often turn to crime to feed their habit.”
Anyone with any information about illegal drugs activity is urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
