THE ANNUAL photography sessions for the Under Fives Competition being run by Baileys of Bromsgrove, in conjunction with us at The Standard, will take place throughout April.

The first sittings will be on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 1 and 2) and the ones after that will be on April 8 and 9, April 15 and 16, April 22 and 23 and April 29 and 30.

Because it is a five-week month this year, it means there will be more opportunity for parents to get their little ones' pictures taken and entered into the contest.

The sessions all take place at Bailey’s, opposite the Navigation Inn, Hanbury Road, where there is free parking.

are free and no appointment is necessary. Parents are urged to beat the rush by going in the first two weeks of the competition.

Youngsters will be put into three categories - 0 to six months, seven months to 24 months, and 25 months to five years.

The winners of each of the three categories will receive an enormous 20in by 16in canvas picture of the child (worth £200).

Second prize winners in each category will get a 15in by 12in portrait (worth £145).

The winners will be chosen by The Standard’s editorial team and the judges’ decisions are final. No discussion will be entered into.

Following the competition, parents can have a print of their child, free of charge, which they will be able to collect from The Standard’s office.

They will also have the chance to purchase a large pack of photographs, should they wish to, although there is absolutely no obligation.
