A FORMER North Bromsgrove High School teacher pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual assault at Redditch Magistrates Court today (Tuesday).

David John Crowther, of West Road, was charged with two counts of squeezing a 14-year-old girl's bottom, one count of touching a 14-year-old girl's bottom and a further count of slapping a 14-year-old girl's bottom.

He is alleged to have done this in Bromsgrove between June 1 2012 and September 30 2012.

The court heard three of the charges involved one girl while the further charge involved a second.

Crowther opted to be trialed at Worcester Crown Court on March 27 - he has now been released on conditional bail until then.

The magistrates told Crowther he cannot contact anyone under the age of 17 without the supervision of someone who had been authorised by Children's Services.
