STAFF at a Bromsgrove eatery were celebrating after being named Free Radio's Cafe of the Week.
Big Dave's Cafe, Worcester Road, was opened by Dave Blackburn after he was made redundant in May 2012.
He said he and his wife Karen took a massive gamble in opening the venue.
"It was a very nervous decision as we didn't know if opening another food business in Bromsgrove would work.
"But after 18 months, it's the best decision we ever made and Free Radio's cafe of the week has made us very proud of our shop," he added.
He thanked all of the cafe's customers for their continued support.
Last year, Big Dave's Cafe was featured in the Standard after the launch of the Big Dave's Challenge breakfast sandwich which uses a whole loaf of bread to house its contents - five rashers of bacon, five sausages, four eggs, four pieces of black pudding or haggis or hash browns, along with double beans, double tomatoes and double mushrooms.
