THREE men forced a driver to get in the back of his car on the forecourt of a Bromsgrove petrol station and then drove it away with him still inside.
The incident, involving the 20-year-old and his Peugeot 206, happened about 3.20am on February 1 at the Texaco on Birmingham Road.
They approached him as he was filling up and asked him for a lift to Charford before standing in front of the car to prevent him driving off.
When he refused, they grabbed the keys from the ignition and made him get in the back seat.
One of them drove the car to Rock Hill, via the Worcester Road, where it clipped the kerb, damaging the vehicle and causing the spare wheel, which was under the boot, to fall off.
There, the trio got off and fled down an alleyway, leaving the victim shaken but unhurt.
Officers have now released a CCTV image of three men who were in the area at the time of the incident. They believe the men pictured may have information which could help with their enquiries.
Det Con Jo Hembry, of North Worcestershire CID, urged the men to come forward and talk to the police.
"Alternatively we would like to hear from anyone who recognises them or thinks they know who they are."
She added it was very unpleasant for the victim whose car was damaged during the incident.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information on the incident or the men's identities should call DC Hembry on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Alternatively, information can be given at the www.crimestoppers-uk.org website.
