YOUNGSTERS from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School got into the spirit of the Winter Olympics by trying a number of themed physical play activities.
The children made their own skates, had a go at skating and made their own hoopla game in the colours of the Olympic rings.
They got to try their hand at sledging and curling, took part in relay races and made Olympic torches, using ice cream cones with popcorn and red, yellow and orange icing.
Parents also got to join in with the fun making winter sparkle pictures, playing with arctic animals and building igloos with pretend snow.
Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School manager Jacqueline Walker said: “The main idea of our theme on the winter Olympics was to increase the children’s interest in sport and develop their physical skills though new activities.”
