THIEVES carried out a car-key burglary in Stoke Heath, escaping with a £26,000 black BMW M3.

The car was taken from a driveway in Avoncroft Road at some time between 8.30am last Friday (February 14) and 8am on the Saturday morning (February 15).

The raiders broke into the house by forcing their way into a garage, taking nothing else apart from the keys to the four-door car which also had in it a Maxi Cosi child seat.

Officers have carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area and are gathering CCTV footage.

Appealing for witnesses, Det Con Mark Lazenby of North Worcestershire CID said: “It would appear this car was specifically targeted by the thieves."

He added he wanted anyone who had seen the vehicle since its disappearance or anyone with any information about the theft to call North Worcestershire CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
