YOUNGSTERS from Crown Meadow First School in Alvechurch took part in ‘Sign2Sing’ on Wednesday (February 5).
The whole school joined in with the event which sees participants learn sign language to a song and perform it at the same time as other schools across the country.
They also wore a scarf to emulate the charity’s mascot.
A total of £170 has been raised for SignHealth by Crown Meadow with more expected to come in.
Teacher Harriet Windsor said: “We are so proud of our children for putting in so much effort to learn the sign language to the ‘Get up and Sign’ song.”
She thanked everyone who made a donation and took part in the event and added she was hoping Crown Meadow and the other schools across the country had managed to set a new world record.
